TAZAMA e.V. has been honored with the IfTQ-Cert Sustainability Award. With this award, IfTQ-Cert recognizes educational projects and initiatives that are committed to sustainably improving the living conditions and income of people in disadvantaged circumstances.

In recent years, recipients have included projects aimed at empowering girls in Nigeria and initiatives promoting youth and women’s entrepreneurship in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

For more than ten years, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, IfTQ-Cert has been certifying educational projects run by NGOs in India and Africa every two years and supporting their sustainable development.

We are delighted by this recognition of our “Moving Cinema against FGM” project, through which we work with local partner organizations in Kenya to raise awareness about Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) and foster dialogue in the affected communities. The project’s goal is to contribute to the long-term elimination of FGM/C through film screenings and moderated discussions.

As part of the award, IfTQ-Cert also announced that it would showcase TAZAMA’s work within its network, thereby helping to raise awareness of our initiative among a wider circle of committed individuals.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for this award and for the trust placed in us. This recognition strengthens our resolve to continue our commitment to protecting girls and women from FGM/C.
